If you would have asked me the question of "Would I rather sell 1000 $20 tickets, or 10,000 $2 tickets?" a week ago, I would have certainly sold the 1000 tickets; or at least that was until I was introduced to a video by the minds of the industry known as TedTalks. This program truly shined a light on what marketing was truly about and explained that its not about the money you make, its about why you do it.
This concept is the reason why the company Apple continues to grow day after day, and visionary, as well as leader, Martin Luther King Jr. was able to reach out to so many people. It's simply because they believed in what they did. As a future professional marketer I plan to try to live by these same principles. I want to believe in the product I'm selling so much that it helps me to be passionate and confident about the products well being. So just because I'm not jacking the prices up on my ticket, I'm providing the people with an awesome experience that is affordable and can easily be passed around in terms of popularity. In this case for me, I feel like its not all about the quality or quanity of the service, rather the quality of the time spent with family and friends and the quanity of the affordable price and how it can be shared. This subject can obviously go eith way with pending personalities, but my simply standard is to inevitably benefit society and in return, benefit!
